Here are the final photos from our mid-week trip to Red Rock Canyon, just west of Las Vegas. Seriously, if I lived in Vegas, I would spend soooo much time out here! It’s really gorgeous. And it reminds me that I should have been a geology major. The geology here is incredible! Maybe that will be my next career….

E saw this guy as we were walking back down from an overlook. But he would NOT sit still. I tried 7 different pictures. So he’s blurry. You can pretend I did it on purpose if you want to. I’m sad, because he was pretty.
Joshua tree!
If you’re old enough to know about U2 and their cd “Joshua Tree” you might be familiar with this plant. It’s related to the yucca. And it’s a very cool plant. We saw a ton of them as we drove to Vegas. If you’re not old enough to know about U2′s cd, then just enjoy this photo.
